Mendy (Hindi मेहँदी, Urdu مہندی, also mehendi) - painting on the body of henna. Unlike tattoos, it is a temporary adornment of the body, but it lasts much longer (up to three weeks) than paint or other methods of drawing on the body. As a tradition, it is most common in the Arab countries, India, North Africa, Malaysia and Indonesia. Currently, mehendi is successfully developing in European countries and America, where artists have appeared with their own unique style. They began to come up with their own individual sketches for mehendi based on traditional ones, to think through the composition of their drawings, to deduce thin and elegant patterns in henna. Thanks to this the mehendi successfully develops, remaining an unusual and fascinating adornment.
